MeitY has approved a proposal submitted by the Global Innovation and Technology Alliance (GITA) to provide funding and support to the electronics industry and academic institutions to do collaborative research.
The GITA project aims to pro-mote innovation, IP, R&D and the commercialisation of products, in the electronic system design and manufacturing (ESDM) sector by providing funding support to a company for doing collaborative research with an academic institute in priority areas, with a timeline of not more than two years.
