In the July edition of SA JAGTER/HUNTER, Hubert Montgomery discusses John Rigby’s medium-bore magazine rifles – the three-fifties. Some nifty gunmaking transforms an “ugly duckling” Mauser rimfire into an elegant little rifle with finesse and Pierre Marais tells of an unforgettable stag hunt with a bunch of tough Scotsmen.
