While the arrival of the bill must be celebrated, the question is if this reservation is enough. In the upcoming edition, Outlook looks at the issue of Islamophobia, how the Hindu-Muslim divide has been widened by the domination of the Hindutva far-right, and tackles questions about how the politics of polarisation continues to deeply influence Indian society.

More than 75 years after India gained Independence, has the Dalit community got freedom? This issue is for all of us. To act and to agitate. To stand together and demand answers and keep asking questions. This issue is for the sake of freedom for everyone. In the hope that we annihilate caste, we invoke memory to guide us through this.
