The issue carried Cover Story ‘Double Trouble for the Congress?\' Which discussed about how Congress is under tremendous pressure in Telangana and residuary Andhra Pradesh which go to the polls on April 30 and May 7. After ruling the region for two terms the Congress is trying hard to retain its hold by inducting party leaders from the Backward Classes as the party chiefs and placating the Reddy\'s - who are the most influential group in the party with other titular posts.

Jairam Ramesh is steering a damage reduction exercise through criticism of rivals by doing the rounds of both regions.

As the party which has tried all possible ways to keep AP united is aiming to win coming general elections to form government in both states, TDP lead by N.chandrababu Naidu has opened party doors to congress MLAs admitting almost every senior congress man into party. But, Some of the senior TDP leaders like Dr.K.Shivaprasad Rao and Ch. Ayyannna partrudu (both ex. Ministers) are opposing this ‘desperate’ attitude and criticizing this kind of inflow of leaders into, TDP, saying their party is becoming another Congress party.
