In this issue
As we move towards spring and further into 2022 we look at the interior trends that are making their presence felt and certainly will be influencing our decorative choices throughout the year. Some of our favourites include the nod towards gothic style and animal architecture – sure what wouldn’t we do for our fur babies!
Seating also plays a massive part in our homes. I have to admit to a slight obsession with armchairs and this issue we have these and more to ensure comfortable, practical seating options
for the rooms of your home.
When it comes to our readers’ homes, the cover home in Tullamore is full of French finds and bespoke modern pieces. Homeowner Tanya has refurbished this period home to suit her style and created a practical and pretty family home. Relocating from Wales, homeowners Anesa and Mike have settled into their new build home in the scenic surroundings of Downpatrick. In Dublin we get a closer look inside an award-winning townhouse on the banks of the River Liffey and in Comber, Co. Down Eniko and Michael have renovated and decorated to create a home that offers the space they need and perfectly reflects their own unique style.
For those wanting a spring refresh, for example, maybe you want to explore a new colour and add some green to your interior spaces. If you’re not quite sure where to start the Interiors Association offers a really informative piece on the use of green throughout your home on page 56.
In our living section we bring you a selection of sweet bakes and get the opportunity to talk to Neven Maguire about his new cookbook – ‘Learn to Cook with Neven’. Marty O’Neill recommends a foodie tour of Galway and our gardening columnist Conrad McCormick advises on planting spring bulbs. Plus, with Mother’s Day coming up, we offer some delicious afternoon tea options as well as gift ideas.
