Welcome to the September 2016 edition of the GameOn Magazine! gamescom is under way as I write this, and the office is full to the brim with German beer. Figuratively… *hick*
But don’t let our upcoming gamescom coverage concern you, not with a bright and shiny new issue right in front of you! We’ve got a packed issue, with 13 articles, 20 reviews, 3 interviews and a few previews.
Heading up the issue, we have an article about trying Bloodborne from Owen, Luke tried The Bureau: XCOM Declassified, and Anna tells us about her experiences with gaming from the perspective of someone with dyslexia. I wrote about finishing Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell, Emsey ranked the bachelors in Stardew Valley, and Jennifer considered how the concept of utopia is shown in games. As I just said, there are 13, so this is just a selection, go on and check them out.
But before you do, let me tell you who we interviewed! Matthew Viglione, one of the co-creators of Project Highrise, Guyduk Anatoliy the designer of InSomnia, and both Leo Toivio and Eric Valentine who are on the team of Skylar & Plux: Adventure on Clover Island.
Although we have three previews, only two people actually wrote them! Simon played a bunch of Worms W.M.D., and SphericalCat tried out Magical Brickout and the Yooka Laylee Toybox.
As for reviews, Calum played a round of Dangerous Golf, Nathan was Breached, and Ben got Lost Sea.
Hmm, not as funny as it was in my head… Moving on, Reece took 7 Days to Die, Thomas said I Am Setsuna, and Alex crossed the Poly Bridge. Alex took a shot at Mighty No. 9, SphericalCat Crush Your Enemies and James tells the tale of Telltale’s Batman Episode 1.
There’s plenty more, and an absolute ton more to come next month. With our gamescom coverage, a preview of We Happy Few and a review of Deus Ex Mankind Divided, there’s plenty to look forward to. Now pass the apple strudel...
